Chase Junghans visits Volusia for DIRTcar Nationals
Taking part in the 54th annual Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Chase Junghans invaded Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) on Monday evening to kick off six consecutive nights of racing.
Drawing 51 Late Models, Junghans squeezed into the opener with the final transfer spot in his heat. Pinned on the ninth row, Chase rolled to a consistent 17th-place finish.
On Tuesday, Junghans followed up a fourth-place run in his heat with a consolation victory. With $7,000 payday up for grabs in the feature, Chase advanced forward seven spots to register a 13th-place finish.
With the 61-car field divided into three groups on Wednesday, Chase logged a 14th-place outing in his 20-lap preliminary.
Junghans remained on the grounds for the final three World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series events from Thursday through Saturday, but was unable to advance past his B-Main in any of the races.
