12th-place finish in High Bank Heist prelim at Eagle Raceway
Making his first start since mid-February, Chase Junghans returned to competition on Thursday evening as the inaugural High Bank Heist kicked off at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska.
The Manhattan, Kansas native saw his night cut short in Thursday’s opener, retiring on lap 12. However, he showed progress on Friday, advancing eight positions in the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature to record a 12th-place finish.
Junghans continued to build momentum on Saturday, overcoming a sluggish start to secure a runner-up finish in his B-Main and punch his ticket into the $50,000-to-win finale. Starting deep in the field from the 10th row, Junghans was ultimately sidelined on lap 32.
