Junghans finishes 12th in Winter Nationals finale at All-Tech

After losing Friday night’s opener to persistent rain, Chase Junghans returned to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Saturday afternoon for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) season opener. Drawing a stout field of 57 cars for the General Tire Winter Nationals, Chase laid down the ninth fastest lap in his time trial group before placing second in his heat behind Brian Shirley. Earning the 11th-starting position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Junghans faded one spot in the 50-lap affair to register a 12th-place finish. (Heath Lawson photo)
