Chase Junghans competes in USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway
Another weekend with the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series took Chase Junghans to Wisconsin’s Cedar Lake Speedway for the 38th annual USA Nationals.
While the results weren’t what he’d hoped for, Junghans displayed steady speed throughout the three-day program and came close to earning a spot in Saturday’s $100,000-to-win main event.
On Thursday, he finished fourth in his B-Main — one position shy of a transfer into the preliminary feature. A fifth-place heat finish on Friday sent him to a consolation race on Saturday, where he again fell just short, placing fourth with only the top two advancing to the 100-lap finale.
