Junghans invades Eldora for World 100
Chase Junghans made the haul from Kansas to Ohio this past weekend to compete in the 55th annual World 100 at the iconic Eldora Speedway.
With twin preliminary features on tap for Thursday and Friday, Junghans advanced to Thursday’s main event with an impressive 10th-to-5th run in his heat race. He went on to record a 15th-place finish in the $12,000-to-win feature.
Junghans matched that 15th-place finish in Friday’s prelim after another solid showing. On Saturday, a seventh-place result in his heat race sent him to a B-Main, where only the top four would transfer into the $72,000-to-win World 100. Junghans mounted a valiant charge, passing 11 cars to finish fifth—just one position short of a coveted spot in the 100-lap finale.
