Sixth-place finish in Wild West Shootout finale at CAR
Chase Junghans returned to Central Arizona Raceway this past week and turned in his strongest performance of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout during Sunday’s finale.
The Kansas native opened the miniseries with a 13th-place finish on Wednesday, while Friday’s effort ended with a fifth-place result in his B-Main. After finishing 14th in Saturday’s feature, Junghans rebounded in Sunday’s program by earning a third-place finish in his consolation race to transfer into the $25,000-to-win finale.
From there, Junghans charged forward 15 positions in the 50-lap main event to register an impressive sixth-place finish, closing out the Wild West Shootout on a high note.
