Chase Junghans podiums in Fujita 50 opener at Arrowhead

Manhattan, Kansas native Chase Junghans returned to action this past weekend, competing in the annual Fujita 50 at Oklahoma’s Arrowhead Speedway.

The event, co-sanctioned by the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series and the Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series, drew a 45-car field. Junghans opened the weekend by recording the second-fastest time in his qualifying group before securing a heat race victory. He carried that momentum into Friday’s 50-lap feature, advancing one position to finish third and join race-winner Cade Dillard and runner-up Timothy Culp on the podium.

With another $10,000-to-win feature on tap Saturday, Junghans earned a spot in the finale with a second-place finish in his heat race. He capped the weekend with another solid performance, gaining two positions in the 50-lap main event to finish fifth.
